Often overlooked, but a 'must' in any serious herb garden, chervil has beautifully laced foliage and a delicate, aniseed-like flavour, which is subtle and never overpowering. One of the constituents of fines herbes, add it to salads, chicken, white fish and egg dishes; best added towards the end of cooking to retain its delicate taste.
