Sweet Corn Plants
Sweet Corn is another one of those vegetables that tastes so much better picked and cooked fresh! Sweet Corn does best when grown in a sunny spot with shelter. As the plants are wind pollinated they should be grown in blocks with the plants 18in (45cm) apart. Plant out indoor-raised plants at the end of May or early June depending on the weather and stake tall varieties if the position is windy.
Delicious when cooked over a grill or barbecue and smothered in butter for a mouth-watering vegetable dish.
