Pepper Plants
Both sweet and chilli pepper plants can easily be grown in pots on the patio or amongst your tomatoes in the greenhouse. They are perfect for adding colour, and if using chilli peppers, some heat and spice to all manner of dishes. If planting your pepper plants under glass, they can be planted directly, 45cm (18in) apart, into a border. Most people prefer to plant into gro-bags, each of which will take three plants. To grow in pots transfer to 11cm pot or larger a few weeks after receipt. Water regularly and feed with liquid fertiliser as fruits begin to swell. There is usually no need to pinch out the growing tips, as plants become naturally bushy as they grow.
