This attractive, decorative plant is good in borders, and, if planted near cabbage, may draw cabbage white butterflies away! The purple flowers look good in salads, while the leaves can be used (sparingly) with fatty meat dishes. They are also delicious in lamb casserole and vegetable soup. Both flowers and leaves are good in pot pourri.
