Basil Herb Plant Collection

This popular herb is an essential ingredient in many Italian dishes with strongly flavoured leaves that can be used to perk up tomato dishes, blitzed to make pesto sauce and added to pizzas, pasta and salads.

Sweet Basil - This highly aromatic herb evokes the scent of summer. Sweet Basil, also known as Genovese, is considered to be one of the best varieties of aromatic basil, hailed for its sweet-flavoured leaves and soft texture.

Greek Basil - With distinctive miniature pointed leaves, this variety produces attractive mounds of aromatic foliage. Greek basil is subtler and sweeter than its Italian counterpart, lightly fresh and pleasantly spicy, the taste is somewhat like anise or cloves.

Purple Basil - This purple leaved Basil makes an attractive feature in patio containers or mixed into flower borders, but it is not just ornamental. It has the full basil fragrance and flavour.
