Our Free Plastic Seed Labels
Just like most other gardeners we too are happy to admit that although we're trying, we are not 100% perfect when it comes to cutting down our use of single use plastics in the garden. If you've been growing from seed for any length of time then, like us, you'll no doubt have experienced the frustration of realising that you'd failed to label a row of veg. Whether they've proven to be a variety which didn't fare so well in your local soil type, or produced a bumper crop of fantastic tasting produce leaving you keen to order more seed for next year, it's always important to label clearly when sowing. Our plastic seed labels can be a real lifesaver when it comes to keeping your plot in order and although they are currently made of plastic, they are made from a minimum of 30% recycled materials and are far from being single use. The water-resistant coating is invaluable on the plot allowing the labels to be washed and re-used over and over again, withstanding even the worst of the British weather. However, once you are finished with your labels, they are widely kerbside recyclable. In our newest print run we have also added the appropriate recycling symbol on the reverse so you know exactly how to dispose of them correctly. We will continue to look at alternative materials, but for the time being we don’t think our plastic labels are all that bad!
