Wild Strawberry produces small but wonderfully aromatic fruits with an intense sweetness that makes freshly picked berries a real summer treat. The compact perennial plants are equally at home in the kitchen garden, border or patio containers and reward you with attractive foliage followed by delicious red berries over a long season. Position: Full Sun and Partial Shade

Sow indoors March-May in pots or trays of moist seed compost. Sow thinly onto the surface, gently firm and do not cover with compost. Cover with glass, polythene or a propagator lid and keep at approximately 20°C. Germination can take 14-28 days. Remove the cover once seedlings emerge and transplant individually when large enough to handle. Grow on at around 15°C, then harden off and plant outdoors around 30cm apart or into containers at least 30cm wide. Keep well watered, particularly while fruits develop. Harvest June-November.
