Tulip Pink Diamond Flower Bulbs is a well-established and reliable Single Late tulip, producing elegant cup-shaped blooms in soft pink shades that gently fade to white around the petal edges. Flowering during May, these graceful blooms bring a refined touch to borders, containers and spring planting schemes.
Held on sturdy upright stems reaching approximately 30cm (16in), the flowers stand proudly above surrounding foliage and perform particularly well in mixed borders and patio containers. Their delicate colouring catches the spring sunshine beautifully, while the long-lasting blooms also make attractive additions to seasonal cut flower arrangements.
Plant between October and December in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. For heavier soils, incorporating grit or sharp sand into the planting area will help improve drainage and encourage healthy growth. Dead-head spent blooms and feed after flowering to support strong bulbs for future seasons.

Tulips
It's easy to see why tulips are the most popular of all autumn planting bulbs. Such a huge range of varieties and types and so easy to grow, they provide lots of colour with the minimum of effort. Long flowering too, with some varieties blooming in March and others into early June and of course they're brilliant for cut flowers. If your soil is on the heavy side then a handful of grit or sharp sand added to the bottom of the planting hole will help.
