Sow indoors January-March, thinly in trays of seed compost, around 0.5cm deep at 18°C. Transplant seedlings individually at the 2-4 leaf stage. Plant into large pots, growing bags or the greenhouse border from late April-May, or harden off and plant outdoors in early June in a sunny, sheltered position. Support plants with canes, remove side shoots, water regularly and feed with a liquid tomato fertiliser once the first truss has set. Harvest June-October.
