The Kelsae is a regular winner in the NVS 'large exhibition' and '1kg to 1.5kg' onion classes, with an unrivalled pedigree spanning many years. However, unlike many large show varieties, Kelsae onions also boast an incredibly sweet flavour – even when grown to massive proportions. These onion plants are not only excellent exhibition plants but also culinary delights, superb for cooking or adding a burst of flavour to fresh salads.
Traditionally sown on Boxing Day, our expert growers manage every stage of production, ensuring you receive top-quality Kelsae onion plants. Each plant is individually modular grown to minimise root disturbance and carefully nurtured over winter. At the transplanting stage, in early spring, they are carefully hand-packed, wrapped and delivered to you for immediate planting.
