Product Description
Sunset Potato Maincrop 1kg
An improved Desiree! With better blight resistance and less bruising, this variety also shows good resistance to potato cyst nematode. Its flowers are violet red. A red-skinned potato with shallow eyes and a creamy flesh, Sunset brings all the qualities of the well-loved Desiree but with stronger disease resistance – a real advantage for the home gardener.
Excellent for roasting, baking, mashing, and making into chips or wedges thanks to its firm texture, it’s a true all-rounder in the kitchen. Reaching around 60cm in height, plants thrive in full sun with a neat, upright habit. Supplied as a 1kg pack (approx. 8–14 tubers), Sunset produces a rewarding harvest from September.
