Spring Planting Shallot Bulb Collection

Product Description
Our shallot bulbs for planting in spring are chosen by our team of experts to give you the best growing experience and harvest. Planting shallot bulbs in spring is rewarding and easy. They are the perfect crop for new and experienced gardeners alike, and no vegetable patch should be without them.
Our collection of shallot bulbs for planting in spring features two varieties:
Yellow Moon – This delightful, yellow variety gives a generous crop whether planted in spring or autumn. They are disease resistant and not prone to bolting. Yellow Moon shallot bulbs for planting will produce a high-quality harvest with a delightfully sweet, mild flavour. Its texture is firm making it excellent for cooking, and it has subtle garlic undertones. This is the perfect variety for anyone wishing for flavour without the harshness of onions.
Bistro – This richly flavoured yet mild variety is perfect for eating raw or cooking, adding flavour and a touch of class to salads, pickles, casseroles and more. It’s flavour is sweet and it has a beautiful golden skin with a faint tinge of pink to the flesh. Bistro are the ideal shallot bulbs for planting in spring and can be planted out as early as February. They are heavy croppers and excellent in storage, so they will keep you with a good supply through winter and beyond.
Giving a sweeter, milder flavour than onions, shallots also have around twice as much Vitamin C, and are also a rich source of Vitamins A, B and E. Our shallot bulbs for planting are mature bulbs, which will go onto form clusters of up to seven shallots per bulb.
This collection includes 500g of each variety, which is between 15 and 30 bulbs, depending on the variety. You will receive a total of 1kg of shallot bulbs for planting in spring.
You can buy shallot bulbs from us with confidence as all our bulbs are certified disease and virus free.
