Rose Alba Maxima (Shrub) Bare Root Plants develop into a robust, rounded shrub with distinctive white double blooms that first appear with a bluish hue. Flowering through June and July, it also produces rose hips after blooming, giving it extra ornamental value into the later months. This reliable and fragrant variety performs well in full sun and is known for its hardiness and disease resistance, making it a sound choice for gardeners seeking structure and long-term impact.
Shrub Rose: Shrub Roses are usually the largest of the bush roses. They are great for back of borders or dividing spaces in the garden with a mounding spreading shape. Usually their flowers are large and can be single, semi or double flowering. Their flowers are produced all the way along their stems giving a fantastic display for a long period and can be highly fragrant too.
These roses are supplied as 2 year old bare root plants with 2 to 3 breaks.
Planting advice: Plant bare root roses outdoors from October to March. Choose a sunny or partially shaded spot with well-drained soil. Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the roots comfortably, soak the roots in water before planting, and cover the graft union just below soil level. Water well after planting and mulch to retain moisture.
