Wasabi is not the easiest of vegetables to grow, but if you like the unique fiery nature of its root, our new, vigorous rocket is so much easier to grow and has a remarkable similar flavour. It is also much less expensive! Pick their leaves at any stage of their development to add a real horseradish-like 'kick' to a mixed green salad.

Sow Outdoors : March-September thinly in pots, growing bags or in well prepared soil. It can also be sown through winter in an unheated greenhouse. Sow at a depth of half-in/1.5cm. If sown in the veg plot, sow in rows 8in/20cm apart. Harvest : All year round, as baby leaf in August - September.
