SOW OUTDOORS April - September, thinly into finely prepared soil, 2.5cm/1in deep. In rows 30cm/12in apart. Thin out to 10cm/4in apart for mature plants, or harvest unthinned for ‘baby leaf’. SOW INDOORS October - March to grow in a tunnel or greenhouse. Sow thinly in trays of compost in a gentle warmth. Transplant to greenhouse border or large pots when approx. 7.5cm/3in tall. Harvest outdoor sowings are ready from approx. 21-35 days, indoor sowings from 60 days.
