Sow indoors in April in individual pots, placing each seed on its side around 1.5cm deep at approximately 21°C. Harden off from late May and plant outdoors after the risk of frost, spacing around 90cm apart. Alternatively sow outdoors May-June, two seeds per final position, thinning to the strongest seedling once the first true leaves appear. Protect young plants with cloches during cold weather, water regularly and pick fruits frequently to encourage further cropping. Harvest August-October.
