Raspberry Polka AGM Fruit Canes (Primocane)

Product Description
Raspberry Polka AGM Fruit Canes (Primocane)
Raspberry Polka AGM is a multi-award winning primocane variety offering exceptional fruit quality. The large, medium red berries are bursting with fragrant, zesty flavour and crop from late July through to October. Virtually spine-free canes make harvesting easy, and this variety performs well even on less desirable soils, delivering a reliable and generous yield.
Polka is ideal for double cropping. To achieve this, leave 7-8 of the strongest shoots per metre row when pruning in February, then trim the top of these canes to where the fruit was produced last autumn. The remaining canes are cut to ground level as normal. A summer crop will develop on the retained shoots, and the process can be repeated annually for continued harvests.
Our specially selected canes are propagated from disease-free certified stock and arrive with well-developed root systems, ensuring they establish quickly and produce excellent yields. Floricane varieties fruit on canes produced in the previous year, while Primocane varieties produce fruits on current season growth. Delivered as bare root canes.
