The Mini Greenhouse from Forest is the perfect planting solution if your garden space is at a premium and you don’t have room for a full scale greenhouse. Using a greenhouse protects delicate plants from the harsh, cold weather and hardens them before eventually replanting them outside.
Manufactured using shiplap tongue and groove construction to give a watertight exterior, as well as the front edge of this greenhouse being lowered to encourage efficient rain water run-off and allow maximum light to enter the interior. The timber has been pressure treated to give a 15 year guarantee against rot and fungal damage.
The Forest mini greenhouse has excellent flexibility, with two independently opening lids that can be propped open and double doors – you can control air flow and temperature easily and only open the sections you need to access. Inside the greenhouse there are two shelves and the base is designed to fit a standard size grow bag. The Mini Greenhouse is supplied unpainted but will look even more special if you add your own personal touch.

Yes, Mini Garden Greenhouses are highly effective for protecting young plants, extending the growing season, and providing a controlled environment. They trap warmth and humidity, creating ideal conditions for seed germination and early plant growth. While they lack the complete insulation of larger greenhouses, their compact size makes them suitable for patios, balconies, and small gardens that full-sized greenhouses wouldn’t fit in. They also shield plants from pests and harsh weather.
Mini Garden Greenhouses can grow a wide range of plants. They provide the ideal conditions for starting vegetable seeds early in the season, like tomato seeds, pepper seeds, and herb seeds.
Salad crops like lettuce seeds and spinach seeds do well in the controlled environment of a greenhouse of any kind and can be grown year-round. You can also use them to grow compact fruiting plants like strawberry seeds and chilli pepper plants. In cooler months, they are useful for overwintering tender perennials and protecting young plants from frost.
Yes, Mini Garden Greenhouses can stay outside in winter, but their effectiveness depends on materials and insulation. Models with sturdy timber frames and shiplap cladding, like this one, provide better protection against frost and damp conditions. However, additional insulation, such as fleece or bubble wrap, may be needed in cold weather.
If the greenhouse is used for overwintering plants, choose hardy varieties or bring tender ones indoors during extreme cold. Placing the greenhouse in a sheltered spot with adequate ventilation can help.
