DT Brown Microgreen Growing Kit makes it quick and easy to grow fresh, nutritious microgreens indoors all year round. Ideal for a sunny windowsill, microgreens are simple to grow and can be harvested young for their fresh flavour and tender texture, ready to add to salads, sandwiches and everyday meals.
The kit includes one reusable growing tray measuring 27cm wide x 15cm deep x 3.5cm high, divided into two growing sections so you can grow two different varieties at the same time. It also includes three packets of microgreen seeds – basil, rocket and coriander – giving you everything you need to start growing.
No soil is required. Simply fill the clear container with water, place the growing trays on top and cover them with a sheet of kitchen roll before sprinkling your chosen seeds evenly over the surface. Spray the seeds with water 2-3 times a day and keep the water topped up and refreshed. For faster growth, a half-strength liquid fertiliser can also be added to the water.
Harvest your microgreens with scissors when they reach approximately 5cm high, then add them straight to your favourite dishes. Once harvested, simply clean the growing containers thoroughly and reuse them for your next crop. The containers are also dishwasher safe.
The clear tray is made from HD polystyrene with HD polypropylene inserts. Both are reusable and recyclable, making the kit a convenient way to enjoy repeated crops of home-grown microgreens.
