FAQs

Explore more about our Liquid Tomato Fertiliser and how to use it.

How to use Liquid Tomato Fertiliser?

Dilute one capful (20ml) of Vitax Liquid Tomato Fertiliser in five litres of water for use through the growing season. Soak the soil around the base and lightly mist leaves with a fine rose watering can.

If using growing bags, start with one litre diluted twice weekly after planting, then ramp up to four litres weekly once the first truss forms. Outdoor plants need two litres diluted per plant every 7-14 days at first, switching to every three days after the second truss sets.

For greenhouse or indoor tomatoes, you should use two litres diluted every three days from the first truss onward for best results.

What other plants can I use Tomato Liquid Fertiliser on?

Vitax Liquid Tomato Fertiliser works beyond tomatoes on cucumber plants, pepper plants, soft fruits like strawberries and currants, and flowering plants for growth and better blooms.

Gardeners also use tomato liquid fertiliser successfully on courgette plants, chillies, aubergines, potatoes, roses, and other fruiting or flowering shrubs, thanks to its high potash formula that boosts fruiting and flowers over leafy growth.

What does Liquid Tomato Fertiliser contain?

Vitax Liquid Tomato Fertiliser contains a balanced nutrient mix with an NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) ratio of 4:2:6, designed to promote strong growth, flowering, and cropping in tomatoes and other plants. It also supplies important minerals like magnesium, iron, and trace elements to support healthy plant development.
