Japanese Wineberry Fruit Plant is an unusual Rubus relative of the raspberry, producing shiny orange-red berries on long, arching canes. The juicy fruit ripens in summer and is delicious eaten fresh or used in desserts, jams and preserves.

This vigorous deciduous shrub has distinctive red-bristled stems and a scrambling, trailing habit, so it benefits from support against wires or a wall. Grow in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade, then cut old fruited canes to the ground and tie in the new growth.

Supplied as an established 2 litre potted plant.
