Iris Reticulata Frozen Planet Flower Bulbs produce elegant, ice-white blooms delicately brushed with pale blue at the outer petal tips, creating a striking display when little else is flowering in the garden. This hardy dwarf iris flowers from late winter into early spring, bringing welcome colour, structure and seasonal interest to borders, containers and patio displays.
Supplied as a pack of 20 bulbs, this compact variety reaches approximately 20cm (8in) in height, making it ideal for planting at the front of borders or in containers where the intricate flowers can be fully appreciated. The upright blooms emerge early in the season, providing an important source of nectar for pollinators when food sources are scarce.
Plant bulbs from September to November in a sunny, well-drained position. Their compact, clump-forming habit makes them particularly effective when planted in groups, where they create a carpet of cool-toned colour that brightens the garden during the transition from winter to spring.
