Grafted Vegetable Plant Collection
The Grafted Vegetable Plant Collection from D.T. Brown features three 9cm well-established plants: Tomato Supersweet F1, Cucumber Baby Rocky F1, and Aubergine Black Pearl.
Tomato Supersweet F1 – A prolific cherry tomato producing an abundance of small red fruits with a super sweet taste, ranking in the top three of the 2007 Tastiest Tomato Competition.
Cucumber Baby Rocky F1 – A vigorous variety producing crisp baby cucumbers around 8–9cm long. It matures early and performs well in both cool and warm conditions, ideal for snacking, salads and lunch boxes.
Aubergine Black Pearl – An excellent variety with a strong habit, producing healthy yields of large, deep purple oval fruits of superb quality. Well suited to the UK climate, easy to pick and suitable for container growing.
Grafted vegetable plants offer gardeners increased vigour and improved resistance to soil-borne pests and diseases such as nematodes, making them especially useful for greenhouse soil where rotation is limited. The grafting process combines a vigorous rootstock with a high-performing hybrid variety, resulting in stronger plants, heavier crops and better yields. Traditionally grown under cover, these plants will also crop well outside in a sunny, sheltered position. Supplied as well-established plants in 9cm pots. Do not remove the plastic grafting clip – it will naturally fall away as the plant grows.
