Gladiolus Bananarama This summer-flowering gladiolus produces tall, upright spikes of clear golden-yellow blooms, useful for adding height to mixed borders and supplying bright stems for cutting. Its strong colour contrasts particularly well with purple and blue flowers, making it a practical choice for planned colour combinations.

Plant the corms around 10–15cm deep, spacing them 10–15cm apart in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun after spring frosts. For a longer flowering season, make several plantings at intervals. Water during dry periods and stake tall stems in exposed sites. Cut spikes as the lower flowers begin to open, keeping enough leaves to replenish the corm. Lift and store dry and frost-free after the foliage dies back in colder or wetter districts.

About our bulbs: We work closely with our growers to select quality, top-sized bulbs for British gardens. Our range is trialled and tested at our Suffolk trials ground or by the growers we work with, helping you plant with confidence.
