Fritillaria
Fritillaria is a genus comprising of a huge range of species. Most feature delightful, nodding bell-shaped flowers and are happiest in well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Varieties such as meleagris and michailovskyi will gradually naturalise if left alone. Lily Beetle can be a pest to Fritillaria.
Signifying that spring has arrived, bulbs create splashes of colour throughout the garden and they are perfect for planting into patio pots and window boxes. Easy to grow and care for, they will bloom with the minimum of attention and are great for cutting too.
