Dwarf French Bean Primavera is a superbly productive variety, giving heavy crops of slender, pencil-like pods that are easy to pick and packed with fresh bean flavour. The compact plants have excellent weather resistance and stand up well to challenging summer conditions, while good disease resistance adds to their reliability. Pick the tender pods regularly and enjoy them freshly cooked from the garden, or freeze surplus harvests for later.

Sow indoors April-May in individual pots under protection. Harden off and plant outdoors after the risk of frost. Alternatively sow outdoors May-July around 5cm deep, spacing plants approximately 25cm apart. For the best crops, enrich the soil with well-rotted compost before sowing. Keep plants well watered and weed free, providing twiggy support in exposed positions if necessary. Pick young beans regularly to encourage a continuous supply. Harvest June-October.
