Cyclamen Hederifolium White Potted Plant is a charming white-flowered form of the ivy-leaved cyclamen, bringing welcome colour to the garden as summer fades and autumn begins. Delicate reflexed blooms emerge from late August through autumn, creating an elegant display above the soil at a time when many plants are starting to slow down.
One of the easiest cyclamen species to grow, it is exceptionally hardy, tolerating both severe winter cold and frozen conditions, while also coping well with hot summer weather thanks to its natural dormant period. Thriving in free-draining soil, it performs particularly well in borders, containers, woodland-style plantings and difficult dry areas beneath trees.
Following the flowers, beautifully marbled ivy-shaped leaves appear in early autumn. Often displaying attractive purple tones on their undersides, the foliage forms dense mats of textured ground cover that brighten the garden throughout the colder months before retreating into dormancy during summer.
Ideal for planting alongside spring-flowering bulbs, this compact hardy perennial is best grown in partial or dappled shade where it receives reasonable light during winter. Its long season of interest, attractive foliage and RHS Award of Garden Merit make it a valuable addition to many garden settings.
