Cucumber 9cm Plant Collection
From 14th May 2025.
Product Description
This super saver collection consists of 3 x 9cm potted plants, 1 plant each of the following varieties :
Carmen F1 - An indoor variety with superb resistance to powdery mildew and scab, Carmen is often the choice of top exhibition growers. It’s an outstanding all-female strain and produces an abundance of straight, dark green fruits which can grow up to 40cm/16in long. Very hungry, it will thrive when grown in very rich soil. Notably cold-tolerant too.
Marketmore 76 - A great choice for outdoor cropping, where it will produce plenty of 20cm/8in long, dark green-skinned straight fruits with a mildly sweet flavour. The plants show some resistance to powdery and downy mildews. One of the most popular varieties of cucumber.
Socrates F1 - Mini-cucumbers are great for smaller households. A vigorous, high yielding all-female strain for the greenhouse or polytunnel. Very good flavour.
Our 9cm Potted Vegetable Plants
Over recent seasons we’ve switched several of our veg varieties from smaller plug plants to 9cm potted plants and had nothing but positive feedback. These larger plants are more vigorous with large, robust root systems and they travel better and establish more quickly than plug plants.
