Carrot Amsterdam 3 is a fast-growing early variety producing slender, sweet finger carrots with a good orange colour and very little core. Harvest the young roots for a crisp, fresh addition to salads, lunchboxes and summer dishes, or lightly steam or roast them whole. Particularly useful for early sowings and container growing, the biodegradable seed tape contains approximately 580 pre-spaced seeds for quick, straightforward sowing.

Sow from January-February under cloches or other protection, or outdoors from March-July. Make a shallow drill around 1.5cm deep where the carrots are to crop. Secure one end of the biodegradable seed tape, gently roll it out, cover lightly with fine soil and water. Allow around 30cm between rows and thin only if necessary. Sow at four-week intervals for a continuous supply. Harvest April-October while the roots are young and tender.
