Anemone Coronaria The Bride Flower Bulbs

Anemone coronaria The Bride Crisp white petals surround a fresh green centre, creating elegant flowers that seem to glow against their finely divided leaves. This beautifully simple anemone lifts mixed plantings and looks especially striking beside stronger pinks and purples.

At approximately 25cm high, the neat plants sit comfortably at the front of borders and in containers. Gather several together for a bright, restful display, or pick a few flowers to bring a fresh, airy feel indoors.

Planting and care: Before planting, soak the dry bulbs in water for several hours to help them wake up. Plant in spring in a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil, or use pots filled with peat-free compost that drains freely. Water when needed as growth begins, but avoid leaving the bulbs sitting in wet soil. Protect pots from severe frost and excessive winter rain; let the soil become drier once the leaves die back. With spring planting, expect flowers towards late spring or early summer, according to conditions.
