Allium atropurpureum & nigrum Bulb Collection creates a striking contrast of rich purple-crimson and creamy white in borders and cutting gardens. Supplied as 20 bulbs, with 10 of each variety, both alliums are similar in height and flower together for a coordinated early-summer display.

Allium atropurpureum
Rich purple-crimson flower heads are carried on sturdy stems for a bold and sophisticated display.
Allium nigrum
Clusters of creamy-white star-shaped flowers with dark green centres provide a bright contrast and are excellent for cutting.

Plants reach approximately 50-90cm (20-36in) and flower from May to June. Plant from September to November in free-draining soil in full sun. The flowers are highly attractive to pollinators and the mature heads can also be dried for arrangements.

Bulb size: 10/12
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 10/12 bulb measures approximately 10-12cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
