Ageratum Blue Mink produces masses of soft powder-blue flowers on neat, compact plants, creating a wonderfully cool contrast among brighter summer colours. Its low, spreading habit makes it particularly effective for edging borders and filling patio containers. Easy to grow and long flowering, the fluffy blooms provide colour from early summer into autumn and are attractive to visiting pollinators.

Sow indoors February-April, thinly on the surface of moist seed compost and gently press the seeds in without covering heavily, as light aids germination. Maintain gentle warmth at around 18-21°C. Prick seedlings out when large enough to handle, harden off and plant outdoors from late May after the risk of frost, spacing around 15-20cm apart. Keep watered during dry spells and deadhead to encourage continued flowering. Flowers June-October.
