Sakura tomatoes are a highly productive and deliciously sweet cherry tomato. They produce firm red fruits on long trusses and are valued not only for their excellent flavour and abundant crops, but also for their disease resistance.
Sakura tomatoes are indeterminate, meaning they will continue to grow upward throughout the growing season. To grow neat and productive vines, side shoots or suckers should be removed regularly to avoid unbalancing the plant. Sakura tomatoes in the UK will need to be given some support and tied in regularly to help produce healthy, upward growth.
Yields on Sakura tomatoes can be very impressive under the right conditions. They can produce around 10 to 12 fruits per truss. The amount of fruits you will get depends on how much warmth, light, feed and water you give them. Sakura tomatoes grown under good conditions will be very productive.
