Discover more about how to grow and getting the best from your Losetto tomato seeds.
Sow Losetto tomato seeds indoors from February to April at 15-20°C in trays, covering lightly; they germinate in 7-14 days. Pot on at two true leaves, harden off, and plant outdoors after frost (late May) in sunny spots 45-60cm apart, in containers or beds. Water regularly without soaking, feed from first fruits, and skip staking for this easy and compact bush type.
Losetto tomato plants are a bush or determinate variety and generally do not need you to pinch out the side shoots. They only require minimal pruning to keep the centre open for better airflow. Unlike tall or cordon tomatoes, Losetto plants produce fruit on their branches without needing to remove side shoots, making them easier to grow and maintain
F1 tomatoes, like those produced by your Losetto tomato seeds, are first-generation hybrids from crossing two parent varieties for stronger growth, better yields, uniform fruits, and traits like blight resistance. Losetto F1 gives a reliable, cascading bush plant with sweet cherry tomatoes that thrive outdoors in pots or beds. Save no seeds from F1 fruits, as the next plants won't match; buy a new batch from D.T. Brown next year.
