Enjoy freshly picked sweetcorn with a deliciously sweet flavour and satisfyingly creamy texture. Ambrosia F1 produces attractive cobs filled with a mixture of golden-yellow and creamy-white kernels. This vigorous, sugary-enhanced variety is well suited to the British climate and provides reliable crops for late-summer meals, barbecues and salads. Plant in blocks to help ensure effective pollination and well-filled cobs.

SOW INDOORS March-May, singly in pots of compost, 1.5cm/half-in deep. Keep at 15-20°C/60-68°F, harden off from late May and plant out in June. SOW OUTDOORS May-June, sowing two seeds per position and thinning to the strongest seedling when large enough to handle. Space plants approximately 40cm/16in apart in blocks rather than rows to aid pollination. Keep well watered, particularly when the cobs begin to swell.
