The first purple podded snap pea! The colourful sweet tasting young pods have a wonderful crunch and can be eaten whole for a burst of sweet flavour. Best enjoyed steamed or raw to best preserve their amazing colour.

The purple pods have a bright green centre and the bicoloured flowers make an attractive feature on the plot. Harvested pods make a great addition to the salad bowl and children’s lunchboxes.
