Want to learn more about our Rocket Speedy Seeds? We answer your questions here.
Sow your Rocket Speedy seeds thinly in 1cm deep drills, 15cm apart, in damp garden soil from March to September. Thin seedlings when they pop up in 7-10 days, and sow new batches every few weeks for non-stop crops. Pick a sunny or partly shaded spot with good drainage, keep soil moist in pots or beds to stop early flowering, and shield young plants from frost or bugs. Start picking outer leaves after 4 weeks for repeat harvests.
It tolerates light frost, but protect your seedlings below -2°C with cloches; mature plants do recover well after mild winter chills.
No, Rocket Speedy is an annual seed, so it grows, flowers, sets seed and dies in one season. It won't come back each year like wild rocket. Let it flower to self-seed new plants next spring, or sow fresh batches every few weeks for non-stop leaves.
