Sow your hot pepper seeds between 18-21°C. Sow them between mid-February and early April or in late March if sowing outdoors. Keep your seedlings warm and moist, in a sunny position with some shade. When large enough to handle, transfer them into pots, with one seedling per pot.
Grow them in large pots, growing bags or your greenhouse border when the first flowers open. From there, they will need regular watering and feeding with liquid fertiliser to keep them growing healthily.
For further advice, be sure to read our guide on how to grow peppers from seed.
Hot pepper seeds need warmth and moisture to germinate. Using a heat mat can help to maintain their optimal temperature, which should be at around 27-32°C. Keep the soil moist, but not soggy, and ensure they receive plenty of light once sprouted.
Our hot pepper mix seeds include a diverse range of peppers, making for a simple choice if you are undecided on what variety you would prefer. The diverse mix of heat intensity, colours, and shapes from our careful selection covers many varieties to add different flavours to your cooking.
