Snakeshead Fritillary Bulb Collection brings together two beautiful forms of this much-loved spring bulb, combining the distinctive purple-chequered flowers of Fritillaria meleagris with the elegant white blooms of Fritillaria meleagris 'Alba'. Supplied as 30 bulbs, with 15 of each variety, they create a wonderfully natural display in borders, meadow-style grass and woodland edges.

Fritillaria meleagris
Elegant nodding purple flowers patterned with their characteristic chequerboard markings.
Fritillaria meleagris 'Alba'
Delicate white bell-shaped flowers softly marked with pale green for a fresh contrast.

Plants reach around 15-20cm (6-8in) and flower from April to May. Plant from September to October in moist but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade and leave established bulbs undisturbed to naturalise.

Bulb size: 7/8
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 7/8 bulb measures approximately 7-8cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.
