Fig Brown Turkey is a reliable cropper in the UK, yielding good crops from late August onwards. A 40cm/16in wide container is ideal for growing fig Brown Turkey on a warm patio where, even in winter, the outline of its bare branches have a stark beauty. The figs will ripen in August/September. Fig trees are attractive features which will crop readily and regularly in warm, sheltered positions, but the secret is to restrict their root growth. You'll be in for a great treat when you pick your own fresh figs. Very suitable for growing in patio containers and against a warm, south facing wall.
