Product Description
Lightweight, highly absorbent flakes of a natural mineral heated to super high temperatures. When added to the growing media it will help to promote faster growing and healthier plants by improving good air balance, increasing water retention and helping to maintain an even temperature.
When added to compost and other growing media, Vermiculite holds and makes the available nutrients readily available for plants due to ‘cation exchange’ properties.
Vermiculite can be used for:
- Alone as a seed starting medium or mixed with compost at 50/50 rate.
- For seed germinations, pricking out, potting-on and plants in containers or tubs.
- Used for pricking out or potting on.
- In larger pots and containers to decrease the weight and improve water retention.
