Grow truly enormous beefsteak tomatoes without compromising on flavour. Gigantomo F1 produces substantial red fruits that can weigh more than 1kg each, with a superb meaty texture and rich tomato taste. Vigorous cordon plants can produce up to ten fruits each and show good resistance to Fusarium and Verticillium wilt. Provide strong support for both the plants and developing fruits, and grow in a greenhouse or a sunny, sheltered outdoor position.

SOW INDOORS January-March, thinly 0.5cm/quarter-in deep in trays of compost. Keep at approximately 18-21°C/65-70°F. Transplant into individual pots at the 2-4 leaf stage. Plant into large pots, grow bags or a greenhouse border during late April-May, or harden off and plant outdoors in early June. Provide exceptionally strong support, remove side shoots regularly and feed weekly after the first fruits form. Support individual fruits as they increase in weight.
