Grow crisp, colourful peppers packed with fresh, home-grown flavour. Yellow Bell produces attractive blocky fruits that ripen from green to a bright golden yellow. Their thick, sweet and succulent flesh is delicious sliced into salads and stir-fries, while the generous shape makes them perfect for stuffing. Grow in a greenhouse or a large container in a sunny, sheltered position.

SOW INDOORS February-April, thinly 0.5cm/quarter-in deep in pots or trays of compost. Cover with glass, polythene or a propagator lid and keep at 15-18°C/60-65°F. Remove the cover once seedlings emerge and transplant into individual pots at the 2-4 leaf stage. Plant into large containers, grow bags or the greenhouse border. Keep plants well watered and feed regularly once the fruits begin to form.
