Organic Aubergine Black Beauty is a reliable early-cropping variety producing plenty of glossy purple-black fruits with excellent flavour. Grow it under glass for the heaviest crops, or in a warm, sunny and sheltered outdoor position. Harvest the tender fruits for grilling, roasting, curries, ratatouille and rich Mediterranean-style dishes.

Position: Full Sun
Sow indoors January-March at 20-25°C. Once seedlings emerge, reduce the temperature to around 18°C. Transplant at the 2-4 leaf stage into individual pots, then move into large pots or the greenhouse border, spacing around 40cm apart. Plants can also be hardened off and grown outdoors in a warm, sunny, sheltered position after the risk of frost. Water well while fruits are forming and feed every 10-14 days. Harvest July-October.
