Product Description
Customers give us nothing but praise for the quality of our Onion Plants. However we were delighted that consumer champion Which? also rated them as ‘Best Buys’ in a recent trial. Our famous onion plants are module grown and raised under expert growing conditions in our nursery. They are QC checked and hand packed and wrapped prior to despatch from early May.
Collection includes 20 plants each of:
Red Baron AGM- We are delighted that consumer champion Gardening Which? voted Onion Red Baron AGM as ‘Best Buys’ in their 2014 trial. A most attractive and high yielding red onion. The red and white ringed bulbs will keep until the following spring.
Isobel Rose - This very attractive pink globe onion is less pungent than red varieties, with a milder taste perfect for slicing raw in salads. Very uniform and reliable, you’ll get a good crop of medium sized bulbs that have a delightful internal colour, with alternate pink and white rings.
Santero - If downy mildew is the scourge of your onions, Santero F1 could be the answer, for these onions show remarkable resistance to it. The golden-skinned, globe onions have firm flesh and store well.
If you do not have the time or the facilities for raising your own vegetable plants from seed, let us save you the hassle with our expertly grown vegetable plants. Delivered at just the right time and in perfect condition for growing on in your garden, allotment or greenhouse. You will be impressed by their quality and the speed with which they establish and grow after transplanting, giving you the satisfaction of home grown vegetables.
