Leek Autumn Mammoth 2 Tornado is a robust, winter-hardy variety producing large, thick stems with excellent flavour. Standing well through colder weather, it provides a dependable supply of freshly harvested leeks from late autumn into early spring. Lift them as required for warming soups, creamy leek dishes, pies, roasts and plenty of other comforting home-grown meals.

Position: Full Sun
Sow outdoors March-April in a seed bed, around 1.5cm deep. Thin seedlings as necessary. Transplant to the final growing position during June-July, dropping individual plants into deep holes around 15cm apart and watering them in without filling the holes with soil. Keep well watered while establishing. Harvest November-March, lifting stems as required through winter.
