Helleborus Orientalis 'Halcyon Early Dark Red' Flower Plants produce elegant single blooms in rich deep red to dark purple-red shades, held above handsome deep green, serrated foliage. Flowering from January through to April, this hardy clump-forming perennial brings welcome colour and interest to the garden during the darkest months of the year, when few other plants are in bloom.

Thriving in partial or dappled shade and moist, well-drained soil, this reliable Lenten Rose is ideal for borders, woodland-style planting, patios and containers. It looks particularly attractive planted amongst snowdrops for a traditional winter display and provides an important source of nectar for bees and other early pollinators. Height 45cm (18in).
