Product Description

Mersley Farm in the Isle of Wight is the 'home of garlic' and this is the first variety that carries its name! Though originating from the Auvergne region in central France across to the volcanic drome in northern Provence, Mersley Wight has proved to be a great variety for the UK gardener with larger cloves and an outstanding vigour, better than many other softnecks.

Originally selected from stock that includes the original Solent Wight, think Solent Wight but bigger! The best keeping quality of any garlic we know – up till June of the year following harvest, that's 10 months! Ideal for late autumn/early winter or spring planting.

Mersley Wight is perfect for autumn and spring planting – tried and tested, we know that it performs well. We choose only the finest quality bulbs. Each year we work with our friends at the Garlic Farm, one of the world’s leading garlic farms, and all of our garlic is sourced from them ensuring we always supply superior top quality garlic from expert growers.

You should always buy garlic from a reputable source and never plant shop bought, cooking garlic. All of our bulbs are certified as disease and virus free.
