Dwarf Runner Bean Hestia is a compact and versatile variety that brings generous crops to even the smallest kitchen garden. The neat plants produce long, tender, stringless pods with a delicious flavour and can be grown in the vegetable plot, at the front of a border or in patio containers. Pick the beans regularly while young and succulent for a continuous supply of freshly harvested pods throughout summer.

Sow indoors April-May in trays, individual pots or patio containers, protecting seedlings from frost. Harden off and plant outdoors from late May to early June. Alternatively sow outdoors May-July in the final growing position, in double rows around 30cm apart. Water well, keep weed free and mulch around the roots to retain moisture. Pick regularly to encourage a continuous crop. Harvest July-October.
