Dwarf French Bean The Prince is a traditional favourite producing heavy crops of long, slender, stringless pods with an excellent old-fashioned flavour. Pick regularly and the compact plants will continue cropping for several weeks through summer. The consistent shape and length of the pods also make this a fine exhibition variety, while surplus beans freeze well for later use.

Position: Full Sun
Sow indoors April-May in individual pots of moist compost and keep at around 15°C. Harden off and transplant outdoors after the risk of frost. Alternatively sow outdoors May-early July, around 5cm deep and 25cm apart. Keep plants well watered and weed free. Pick pods regularly from June onwards to encourage a continuous crop.
